State of the Industry: When does normal return?

Michelle Krebs will provide a look at the current state of and outlook for the U.S. economy, including economic growth, job recovery, interest rates, consumer confidence and inflation. Against that backdrop, she will detail what is happening now in the new- and used-vehicle markets, in terms of sales, prices and inventory, and where those are headed. She’ll talk about headwinds to sales, like affordability, prices, inflation and loan rates, and prospects for the adoption of EVs. The session will close with Cox Automotive’s latest forecast for the industry and trends for the future based on what has changed during the pandemic and chip shortage.
